Do pavers crack like concrete slabs?
No, and that is their biggest advantage. Pavers are an “interlocking” system, meaning they can flex and move slightly with the ground. In Miami, where soil settles and tree roots grow, a concrete slab might crack, but pavers will simply shift. If a paver does become uneven, we can lift and relevel just that specific section without replacing the whole driveway.
Do I need to seal my new pavers?
We highly recommend it. Sealing enhances the color of the stone and creates a protective barrier against oil leaks, rust stains, and UV fading from the Florida sun. It also helps stabilize the sand between the joints. We suggest resealing every 2 to 3 years to keep them looking new.
How do you stop weeds from growing between the pavers?
We use high-quality Polymeric Sand during installation. Unlike regular beach sand, polymeric sand contains binding agents that harden when wet (almost like grout). This creates a solid seal that locks the pavers in place and effectively blocks weeds and ants from breaking through.
